It was three years ago on a cold winter evening in Portland that we first met each other. We had been talked into going to Kelly’s bar for a dreadful concert. It took only five minutes of listening to amateur drum banging before we both looked at each other and mutually agreed to find something else to do, together.

We immediately followed up our escape with a date the very next night to Ground Kontrol for classic pinball and arcade fun. This was the start of our wonderful relationship and we quickly became best friends and lovers.

Eventually we decided to continue our adventures together in San Francisco, where we moved in the fall of 2011. Shortly after, while sitting in our new home that we had just finished unpacking, I sprung a question on Lauren, “Do you want to go ring shopping tomorrow?”.
